Jos
Naylor to Run the 1st Lap
Jos Naylor has agreed to run the first lap of The Big Push
2000. Wasdale sheep farmer Jos Naylor is one of the best known
fell runners in Britain. His quiet unassuming charm and gritty
determination have won him an MBE, the honour of being named
a Fellow of Manchester University and the admiration of all
who meet him. He marked his 60th birthday in 1996 by running
a 96 miles over Lakeland's 60 highest peaks to raise money
for multiple sclerosis sufferers and helped launch Cockermouth
Mountain Rescue Team's Appeal for a new base. (Information

The
Wheelchair Arrives
The wheelchair supplied by Otto
Bock for the World Record attempt has arrived and it is
truly awesome! We have given it a quick try out and
it is so easy to push that we believe we can totally obliterate
the current World record. A full test is scheduled for Sunday
afternoon 3rd September. We will let you know how we get on...
