GET INVOLVED
We need your help to make this World Wheelchair
Pushing attempt.
Everyone can help in some way or other and all help and support
is gratefully received. So what can you do to help?
Below is a list of the sorts of things you can do to help
us.
- Come
to Whitehaven's Copeland Stadium and cheer us on.
- We need Runners
to push the Wheelchair.
- Buy a Raffle
Ticket. The prize is £100 in CASH!
- Tell your friends about the Big Push 2000.
- Ask
your friends to visit this Web Site.
- We need the loan
of a mobile phone.
- We need the
loan of a Laptop Computer.
- The provision
of Catering Equipment and/or Food.
- Refreshment's
for the Runners.
- A Bouncy Castle
with Insurance and some one to run it to amuse the children.
- Other Attractions
to amuse All ages (adults and children) during the event.
- Help with the
cost of the administration of the event.
Runners
If you are fit and can run at least 200 yards then we
need you!
We also need teams of 4 to compete against each other during
the push.
Please note that you must be fairly fit as you need to run
and push the wheelchair including occupant!

Raffle
Tickets
Help support the Big Push and the Cumbria
Cerebral Palsy Society by buying a Raffle Ticket. Each
ticket is £1 and the prize is £100 in CASH!
Raffle Tickets will be available during the Big Push 2000
and from the Organisers.
Mobile
Phone
We need the loan of a Mobile Phone including the cost of
the calls for the duration of the event. This so that we can
relay the lap times, distances and news back to our Web Site
designers so that they can update the web site. Approximately
15 two minute calls will be made to relay this information.
The Mobile Phone may also be used in the case of an emergency.

Laptop
Computer
We need the loan of a Laptop Computer running Windows 95
(or Windows 98) and Microsoft Excel. Ideally it should have
spare batteries to enable us to use it for the whole of the
24 hours of the Big Push 2000.
The laptop will be used to log the names of the runner, the
laps completed with times etc. If you wish the owner may also
be the operator.

Catering
Equipment and/or Food
We need some Caterers!
If you have a Catering operation and want to provide (sell)
refreshments, snacks (food and drink) to those visiting the
Big Push 2000 please contact us.
Note: You will need the appropriate Food Hygiene Certificates
etc.

Refreshments
for the Runners
Our Runners are going to need some refreshments, mainly drinks
(bottled water, juices etc.), but also snacks, sandwiches
etc. We would like these donated if at all possible.

Bouncy
Castle & General Entertainment
We need entertainment for both Young and Old!
If you can donate a Bouncy Castle (including insurance) and
someone to man it for the (daylight) duration of the event
we will be very pleased to hear from you.
There is lots and lots of space available so if you would
like to provide entertainment (both free and for a profit)
for both, or either, adults and children please contact the
organisers. You would be totally responsible for the entertainment
you provide.

Help
with the Administration Costs
The Big Push 2000 does incur some overheads like Printing
costs, Telephone calls, Travelling costs etc. We would be
grateful for any donations you can make towards these costs.
